Need Advice

My male Bam Bam is going crazy because our female Faith is in heat, today while we were feeding all the dogs, we left Bams in the kennel and let all the females out to eat. He is doing everything he can to get to her, thats nothing new. As they were eating he started chewing on the fence and actually got a piece of fence through his jaw, by jaw I mean the chunky meat around his mouth. We had to use bolt cutters to get it out, he seems fine but we gave him a penicilain (sp?) shot and cleaned it out. Is that all I should do? He is up running around playing like normal if thats a concern.
